FreePrintable.net news

Dec. 7, 2010
Hi from Kevin at FreePrintable.net, where a busy printer is a happy printer.

I hope your December is shaping up nicely! My family has been especially busy, with guests in town and other goings-on. Our older daughter is in a middle school production of Guys and Dolls (one of my favorite musicals) and having so much fun as Jerry the Joker. (My wife and I are raising our kids on a steady diet of showtunes.) Still no snow here in Portland, though. What I do have is a bunch of new gift tags for the winter holidays at FreePrintableGiftTags.net, as well as a new version of the 10-Year Journal for PrintablePlanners.net that starts with 2011.

» New Holiday Gift Tags
Perfect for Christmas and other winter festivities, I've just added 18 new gift tags with sentiments such as "Merry Christmas" and "Seasons Greetings" and feature colorful illustrations of presents, elves, Santa, holly, candy, nutcrackers, snowflakes, trees, and even a cute Christmas puppy. There were already dozens of awesome Christmas gift tags, as well as Hanukkah gift tags, so these new designs just round out the collection!

The gift tags come with 10 copies of each design per sheet. Lots of people simply print the gift tags on sheets of paper or cardstock and cut them apart with scissors or a paper trimmer, but you could also use sticker paper if you'd like.

Choose from either PDF or DOC versions - both are free to instantly download and print! The PDF gift tags are intended to be written upon in pen, while the DOC versions can be opened in Microsoft Word, where you can type the giver and recipient names directly onto the tags.

» Printable Planners for 2011

Last year I added a 10-Year Journal to PrintablePlanners.net, and it's proven to be so popular that I've added a version that starts with Jan. 1, 2011. The concept of this type of journal is really cool: There is one page for each date, with room to write a few lines on that day for 10 full years. So, you will eventually be able to see what you were doing on (for example) July 15 in 2011, 2012, 2013, and so on - all on the same page. And there's no need to stress about printing out the whole journal at once. You can test it out by printing a week, or a month, or whatever you'd like. I'll be leaving the journal on PrintablePlanners.net, and it will always be free.

If that type of diary-style datebook isn't up your alley, please check out the other great stuff at PrintablePlanners.net. There are more than 270 planner and organizer refill pages to choose from, sized to fit popular organizers by companies such as Franklin Covey, Day-Timer, Day Runner, and more, in daily, weekly, and monthly formats. Pages are free when downloaded individually, while a convenient all-in-one download of any particular planner size is just $9 per collection.

I have SO much stuff to add to the printables sites in the coming weeks. But I still need ideas for new printables for 2011 and beyond, so I'd appreciate any ideas you can share. Happy printing!

  » Server Move
I just moved the FreePrintable.net sites to a brand-new server. The sites should load crazy fast now. It was a ton of work but should be worth it. I've tested everything, but please email me if you encounter any problems at all, I don't want to miss anything that may have accidentally broken.

  » Kudos
This is the time of year when there are lots of visits to SantaPrintables.com, with friends and family of good little boys and girls "helping out" by downloading letters from Santa. Rusty wrote me, appreciating the variety and new letters to choose from: "Thank you so much for your amazing web site with free printable letters! I usually write my own Santa letters to my 5- and 7-year-old grandchildren. Thank you for allowing folks to print them off FREE! I even found a cute one for my son and daughter-in-law and one for my husband for sharing Christmas with a co-worker as Secret Santa."
