| » Blackline Masters |
As teachers and others who must cut costs know, it's almost always cheaper to print out one copy of something and take that "master" to a commercial or office-quality photocopier to make more. The ink costs less to use, especially if you're reproducing something many times, such as for a classroom of students.
BlacklineMasters.net is the newest addition to the FreePrintable.net family, and the site offers more than 60 printables that are designed with nice, bold lines to photocopy especially well.
There are world flags, maps (world, continents, and the U.S.) many styles of graph papers. There are also specialty blackline masters, including a periodic table of the elements, human body outlines, music staffs, a protractor, and a clock face.
Masters like these are sometimes found in bound books that sell for $20 or $30 or more. All of the printable blackline masters at BlacklineMasters.net are free to download and print. They are all in PDF format, easily opened with Adobe's free Acrobat Reader. With blackline masters, there's no need to purchase a workbook for each student. At BlacklineMasters.net, you can print just what you need. And my copyright allows you to photocopy them as many times as you like.
It's a great companion site to www.TeachersPrintables.net, with its 210 classroom printables.

» Get Organized in 2011

It's mid-January, and the time when many New Year's resolutions fall by the wayside. Printables can be helpful whether you've made a list of goals for 2011, or simply promised yourself to do better when it comes to staying organized, eating more healthfully, or keeping the house neat.
FreePrintable.net sites such as www.PrintableToDoList.com (with its dozens of simple and complex to-do lists), www.FreePrintableGroceryList.com (shopping lists and menus planners) can make it easier to visualize what you need to do to stay on-task.
If you have children who have committed to doing their chores, improving personal hygiene, or practicing musical instruments more diligently in 2011, check out www.ChoreCharts.net. The site has many behavior charts, time trackers, and other tools for kids and teens, as well as a few for grownups. It's also fun to set up reward system with stickers and prizes.
Of course, don't forget about the calendars at www.Printable2011Calendar.com.
Thanks to all of you who have sent in ideas for new printables and sites. So far this month, I haven't received as many suggestions as I usually do. If you have an idea you've been waiting to send along, please email me when you get a chance. I appreciate all your feedback. Thanks so much, and happy printing!
Kevin

What a great note I received this week from Sonja (Sunny), an art teacher: "I love your website! Not just because things are free (though that does help me), but because your stuff is so useful and gooood!! Keep up the good work." |
