FreePrintable.net news

Jan. 11, 2010
Hi from Kevin at FreePrintable.net, where a busy printer is a happy printer.

I just finished adding a bunch of new printables to TeachersPrintables.net, and for some reason the process got me thinking back to my high school days. I was really into photography, in the darkroom dark ages when you didn't edit with a computer; you got down and dirty with chemicals and burned and dodged by hand -- literally -- under a Beseler enlarger while basking in the warm glow of yellow or red safelights. I can still smell the fixer and picture the liquid swirling in its plastic tray. I'm no Ansel Adams, but I'm proud of the images I made. In a couple of years, my daughter will be in high school, probably with some cool, modern digital "photo lab," but it won't be the same. Well, enough of my random memories. You want printables! Like I said, I've got many new printables for classroom teachers and homeschooling parents, and they include sign language charts and fingerspelling posters. I also wanted to remind you about the 353 (!) new business cards at FreePrintableBusinessCards.net.

» New Printables for Teachers
The new batch of 60 printables for teachers includes several forms and templates that TeachersPrintables.net users have requested, as well as a collection of sign language charts and fingerspelling posters. They're all great for classroom teachers at various grade levels as well as parents who homeschool.

The sign language charts feature each letter of the alphabet as a bold graphic. Printed on letter-sized paper or cardstock, they're easy to see from across a classroom and thus suitable for posting on a wall to reinforce fingerspelling for students of any age. There are two versions: with the letter shown below the hand and without. There are also charts showing the entire fingerspelling alphabet on one sheet, with or without accompanying letters.

Other new printables include: a daily grade log, a blank high school transcript, a parent-teacher conference record, study logs, and an elementary school report card (illustrated with a schoolhouse.)

With these recent additions, there are now 210 printables to download, customize, and print for free, from attendance and grading charts to graphic organizers and worksheets. There are classroom management tools such as behavior charts, along with homework and testing forms, blank lesson plans, seating charts, and passes.

I'm especially proud of this site, because I know most teachers spend way too much of their own hard-earned money on classroom supplies. At TeachersPrintables.net, every single printable can be downloaded and printed for free. I also offer the convenient option of downloading all of the sites' files at once, in both PDF and DOC forms, along with a dozen bonus printables. That option is just $27 for a classroom license or $67 for a whole-school license. There's no limit to how many times the worksheets, forms, organizers, and other printables can be reproduced.

» Business Cards

I mentioned it last month but I think people were in holiday mode not business mode, so I'm mentioning it again: There are 343 new business cards to choose from at FreePrintableBusinessCards.net, which now offers more than 1,000 business cards to download and print.

This recent addition includes an entirely new category: square business cards. They're 3 inches by 3 inches, a size that is becoming more and more popular, especially in the most creative industries. They're compact yet fit in standard wallets and business card holders.

The designs on the new cards cover a wide range of colors, styles, and industries. There are cookies, medical images, edgy skull designs, skiing scenes, and also more to choose from in popular categories such as flowers and butterflies.

At FreePrintableBusinessCards.net, you can print any business cards you'd like for free, in a version that includes the site URL in small letters at the bottom. If you'd like the ability to edit that out, opt for the $3 version. Both versions are in DOC form, compatible with Microsoft Word and many other DOC-compatible word processing programs.

Please keep sending me your ideas for new printables and sites! Many of the designs I recently added are a direct result of requests by FreePrintable.net users like you. Thanks so much, and happy printing!

Kevin

  » Kudos

I got this sweet note from Jeanne, who is a big fan of the bookplates I recently added to my printable bookmarks site. She wrote: "I received your recent email and just love all of your bookplates. I take Bible study classes and usually just crudely write my name on the inside cover. I can't wait for my next set of classes to start so I can use some of the bookplates. Thank you for this wonderful, free website."
