Hi from Kevin at FreePrintable.net, where a busy printer is a happy printer.

OK, I admit it. I love a new year. Sure, the idea of New Year's resolutions is kind of arbitrary, but for me, January is a perfect time for goal-setting, both in my business and personal lives. Plus, I'm pleased that I've managed to avoid the Y2K bug for the 12th year in a row! (Sorry, computer geek joke). This is going to be a year full of great, new printables from FreePrintable.net. First off, I've revamped the 10-Year Journal for 2011, so it's the perfect time to get the most out of this simple, thought-provoking approach to keeping a diary. Also, there are more than 100 new invitations at PrintInvitations.net. Party on!

» 10-Year Journal
The second I heard of the 10-year journal concept, I was intrigued. Like you, I'm busy, and the idea of committing to a traditional diary or journal seemed daunting - and overkill. With a 10-year journal, each page displays one date but spans ten years: 2011 through 2020. So you'll come back to the same page once a year for a decade. There are just a few lines for each entry, so just enough room to jot down a few key thoughts or facts about that day.

One of the coolest things about a 10-year journal is the ability to look back and see what you were doing on that same date one, two, three, and eventually 10 years prior. It's a great way to re-evaluate how your business or work life is progressing (or not progressing), as well as reminisce on family goings-on.

The 10-year journal at PrintablePlanners.net is great, in part because you can just print a few pages and see the concept works for you before you commit to it. Personally, I enjoy this method of journaling and record keeping. It's even more "cool" now that I'm in the second year of mine and can easily look back on what I was doing a year ago.

There are two versions to choose from: a free PDF and a $4 editable DOC version you can type your thoughts directly into using Microsoft Word.

» New Printable Invitations

Need a reason to throw a party? How about the recent addition of 110 new printable invitations to PrintInvitations.net? I'm pleased to offer new, brightly colored invitations for holiday, birthday, and other parties in a variety of themes. There are 1960s hippie-style invitations, sports-themed invites, butterflies, kitty cats, puppies, fish, flowers, dinosaurs, music, pirates, outer space, sushi, tropical, and, of course, all kinds of balloons and party illustrations.

There are now a total of 230 printable invitations at the site, all of which can be downloaded for free in PDF form. Or, if you'd like the ability to type directly into the card, adding the date of the event and other details, opt for the premium $6 DOC version for Microsoft Word. You can print your invitation as many times as you'd like!

I have hit the ground running in 2011. I expect to have new sites ready within a few weeks, plus even more additions to existing sites. But I don't want to run out of ideas. Please send yours in! Happy printing!

Thanks so much to all of you who took the time to send me holiday wishes! I appreciate your kind thoughts. Joe and Val wrote to send both wishes and compliments: "We just wanted to say 'thank you' for all you bring to us throughout the year that is free to download.  We are on a strictly 'fixed income' and you saving us a bit of money is a rare and very much appreciated service. You have a good heart and we wish you and those in your life you love and cherish a very Merry Christmas and a prosperous New Year! May God bless you and yours!" Thanks so much, Joe and Val.
