Hi from Kevin at FreePrintable.net, where a busy printer is a happy printer.

What a great week at FreePrintable.net headquarters! I'm super-excited that some of you are already using and enjoying the new FreePrintable.net app for web-connected Hewlett-Packard printers. And, wow! I've gotten so many entries in the giveaway to win one of these cool HP printers. I can't wait to give these printers away! (Well, I'll have to wait - but only until the Oct. 7 deadline to enter the giveaway.) Also this week I added nearly 100 new printable papers to PrintablePaper.net, most of them specialty graph papers for math buffs.

I've just added 92 new "math-y" papers at PrintablePaper.net, and now there are more than 830 free printable papers at the site! These new additions are mostly log- and semi-log papers, which are ideal for plotting a long range of values. I've included many "cycle" papers, which can help to visualize exponential and power relations. I have to admit these papers are a little "over my head," but I do know that they're accurate and something for which I've had repeated requests. There is also some new probability graph paper and triangular graph paper. The triangular graph paper is fun just to play with and doodle on even if you don't need it for school or work; I like to use it for drawing stuff.

The most popular papers are PrintablePaper.net are the lined paper, basic graph paper, and various note papers. But there are also score sheets, penmanship paper for kids, music paper, printable games, budgets, and more. I'm always on the lookout for ideas for new papers to add, so please let me know what you're looking for! In the meantime, here's the newest papers:

» Printer Giveaway

Last week I told you a little about the cool FreePrintable.net app that works with HP's new line of web-connected printers. They have a touch screen from which you can print any of more than 6,500 documents from FreePrintable.net, as well as millions of other things on the Internet, without even touching your computer. There are ready-made templates to choose from and all kinds of neat features. I've been having a lot of fun with it.

I bet you'd like to get in on the fun, too. Well, HP generously gave me five of their Photosmart Premium Touchsmart Web All-in-One printers to give away to FreePrintable.net users!

To enter, log into your Facebook account and visit the FreePrintable.net Facebook page at http://www.facebook.com/FreePrintable. Then, "Like" us, if you haven't  already. Then, let me know how you use the free printables by posting to the Wall. I'd love to hear about how FreePrintable.net helps you at home, at work, at school, with kids, and so on. You could even upload a picture of you with your favorite FreePrintable.net document or project. All entries will go into a random drawing for one of two printers. The other three printers will go out to what I call "superusers" - I'll pick my favorite written entries or pictures that I feel capture the spirit of free printables.

Thanks for playing! The deadline is this Thursday, Oct. 7. Because the printers will only work in the U.S. and Canada, only those residents are eligible to win.

I've gotten so many great ideas already from your HP printer giveaway submissions. Many of the most popular additions to the FreePrintable.net sites have come from users like you writing in, so please keep those thoughts coming - even after the giveaway is over. Happy printing!

Kevin

  » Kudos

I think I've mentioned before how much I like hearing from people who have shared their specific uses for free printables. I especially appreciated this nice note from Amanda: "Kevin, thanks for having your FreePrintable.net sites. You do not realize how much help, as a truck driver and safety personnel, that your site is. It saved me time and money. Getting back to trucking has been my dream and you helped me more than you know. Be safe out there." You, too, Amanda! There are lots of forms for truck drivers and others at BusinessFormTemplate.com.
