Nov. 30, 2010
Hi from Kevin at FreePrintable.net, where a busy printer is a happy printer.

Snow! Snow! Snow! That's been the word of the week in my house. Even though Portland didn't get the snowfall we were promised (unfair!), my daughters are standing by with mittens and snow boots. Are you in the winter spirit? Kids had best get their letters in to Santa soon if they want to make their Christmas wish lists known. I've just added several letters from Santa to www.SantaPrintables.com, for those who know the Big Guy could use a little extra help in the form of templates you can personalize. Also, with Hanukkah starting a little earlier than usual this year, I wanted to be sure to let you know about all the great Hanukkah printables at the FreePrintable.net sites.

» Letters from Santa
As it gets closer to Christmas, Santa gets busier and busier. I have it on good authority that he really appreciates any help he can get from friends and family of good little boys and girls. That's where www.SantaPrintables.com comes in, with more than 40 letter templates, formatted on colorful holiday stationery, "signed" by Santa and ready to download and print. There are Christian-themed letters, a letter from Rudolph, and even letters for pets. Some letters are gender-specific, while others are appropriate for girls or boys.

The newest additions include Secret Santa letters (for secret pal gift exchanges) and a Magic Elf letter. There are also new letters for children with special concerns, such as a hot climate or a new baby in the house. (The site already has letters addressing common worries, such as the lack of a chimney, or children who may not believe in Santa.)

There are both free PDF and $5 customizable DOC versions of each letter. If you prefer the PDF, just download and print it and write the recipient's name in by hand. With the DOC version, you can type directly into the letter in Microsoft Word, customizing it with details about the child, his or her family, preferred gifts, and so on.

Don't know any good little boys and girls? SantaPrintables.com also has humorous letters for adults as well as a popular "fill in the blanks" letter. You can see all the letter templates here:

» Hanukkah Printables

This year, Hanukkah starts at sundown Dec. 1. Fortunately, you won't need to rush around shopping for gift tags and cards, thanks to the many Hanukkah-themed printables available at the FreePrintable.net sites.

The designs at FreePrintableGiftTags.net include both traditional and cute designs, from a classic Star of David to happy kids holding a menorah. They're all free to download and print!

There are many free Hanukkah coloring pages, from dreidels to menorah, at BibleColoringPages.org. You can print a pretty, blue Hanukkah banner at PrintableBanners.net. And the designs at FreePrintableBookmarks.net make a great gift, or an addition to a gift of a book. Also great for gift-giving are the customizable calendars at PrintableJewishCalendar.com. There's even a Hanukkah fax cover sheet at FreeFaxCoverSheets.net.

Please send snow! Just kidding. Please send your ideas for new printables and sites, so I can keep bringing you more great stuff. Happy printing!

Kevin

  » Kudos

Coloring pages from FreePrintableColoringPages.net are especially popular during the holidays, but I hear from many FreePrintable.net users like Mary K. who use them year-round. Mary wrote: "I love your site. I use it a lot for my daughter. She loves coloring and I also use the certificates for her rewards. She just loves receiving them. I also use the coloring pages when my daughter has friends over and they love all the themes and the different pages."
