FreePrintable.net news

July 13, 2010
Hi from Kevin at FreePrintable.net, where a busy printer is a happy printer.

You may have figured out by now that I'm a computer geek, starting way back in the '80s when I was a teenager with an Atari 800. (I even maintain a website of nothing but Atari magazine archives.) And I spent more than my share of time in game arcades back in the day. So, when my wife was thinking up birthday gifts, she hit upon the perfect getaway for a nerd like me: the California Extreme video game exposition, where I can check out (and even play!) classic coin-operated games, from Defender to Dig Dug. Score! I'll be driving down to Santa Clara this weekend to chat with collectors and, I hope, get in a few games of Missile Command. But you want to know about the new printables, right? Well, I've added 20 new contracts and agreements to www.PrintableContracts.com. Also, a bunch of new countries were added to the destinations available via my service, FaxZero.com.

» New Printable Contracts
I've just added 20 new printable contracts to PrintableContracts.com, and now there are nearly 40 to choose from, for various business and household needs. There are now contracts for engaging speakers or consultants, renting venues, hiring maintenance or cleaning crews, changing work orders, and more. There is a convenient printable will codicil form. Another new addition is a form for assigning copyright. Also, some of you have requested forms for Durable Power of Attorney as well as Medical Directives, so I've added those as well. These templates make for an easy head start in all kinds of situations. You can see all of the contracts and agreements here:

www.PrintableContracts.com

You can see the wording of each contract or agreement right on the website, or choose to click and download a free .DOC version that you can customize in a word processor to suit your specific situation. On the most general agreements, you can simply "overtype" to fill in and complete the document.

» International Faxing

I know a lot of you have used my service, FaxZero.com, for your home and business faxing needs. (2.6 million faxes have been sent via FaxZero since I started the site in 2006.) You can send faxes (with a daily and page limit) for free in the U.S. and Canada, or pay $1.99 for a premium fax if you want to fax more. I launched international faxing in May, and with the recent addition of 36 new destination countries, you can now reach 160 nations via fax. International faxing is not free, but it's very affordable, with prices varying based on the destination. Many are just $3.40. The countries added most recently include: Albania, Gibraltar, Western Samoa, and Zimbabwe. (Now I can say we serve countries from A to Z!) All you need to do to send a fax is complete a simple online form and attach a .DOC, .DOCX, or .PDF file (or type in text). Payment is also easy, via PayPal. You can see all of the countries and the cost to fax each here:

Well, my fingers are getting itchy for some video gaming (maybe pinball?), so I'm going to start packing for my fun weekend. I have many more new printables to come. Please send me your ideas; I'd love to know what you want to see next. Happy printing!

  » Kudos
Now, there are printables fans and then there are die-hard printables fans. Joan L. is one of the die-hards, and she emailed: "I just want to thank you so much for all of the free printable things that you offer. I think that this is the best thing that has happened since the invention of the computer. I have downloaded so many things and I think I have been in every category that you have offered." Wow, Joan! Thanks so much.

  » Facebook
I'm excited that FreePrintable.net has its own Facebook page, but I'm even more excited that 1,300 of you (exactly, I just checked!) "Like" it, and have "Liked" my posts in two months since I set up the page. I think Facebook is the most interactive and "fun" social networking site (no offense, Twitter, I like you, too.) If you haven't Friended FreePrintable.net yet, please consider heading over to Facebook and doing so now. Just sign in and click the Like button. Then, you can see the latest on FreePrintable.net on your Wall feed, share your ideas for printables, and even meet other printables fans.
