July 6, 2010
Hi from Kevin at FreePrintable.net, where a busy printer is a happy printer.

Isn't summer is just flying by? I'm back from hot Arizona to the cool California coast and counting down the days to my family's big move to Portland, Oregon. My wife and older daughter are out of town and I've got our 3-year-old so it's been dollhouses, ponytails, and the park for me this week, with the occasional Yo Gabba Gabba episode thrown in. Good times! But I have a trusty babysitter and was able to steal some time to get hundreds of new business cards up at FreePrintableBusinessCards.net, with designs for everyone from beauticians to bodybuilders, as well as next year's calendar for PrintableJewishCalendar.com. Please check them out!

» New Printable Business Cards
This week I made one of my biggest additions ever to a site: 212 new business cards at www.FreePrintableBusinessCards.net. There are now 560 business cards to instantly download and print for free! Many of the designs are a direct result of requests from FreePrintable.net users like you. There are cars, motorcycles, military themes, cakes and cookies, cameras, flames, flowers, hearts, horses, houses, and more. There are business cards for babysitters, law enforcement, carpenters, dentists, DJs, housekeepers, jewelers, landscapers, and welders. There is also a new selection of very basic, single-color business cards as well as designs with a monogram for each letter of the alphabet. I'm really excited about these great new cards. You can see for yourself here:

While you can download, save, and print any of the cards for free, there's also an option for a $3 "premium" business card, which allows you to remove the site's URL from the background. Both the free and premium versions are Microsoft Word .DOC files and download immediately.

» Printable Jewish Calendars

I know that www.PrintableJewishCalendar.com, a sister site to www.Printable2010calendar.net, won't interest everyone. But for people who are interested in following a traditional Jewish calendar, or a modern calendar with all the Jewish holidays listed, this site is exactly what they need. Site users can choose from Hebrew or Gregorian (civil) months and dates, or create their own calendars with the Custom Jewish Calendar Creator: www.PrintableJewishCalendar.com/custom.php. Recently, a few site users emailed me, noting that the month of Tishri for the year 5771 is only a few months away. So, for those of you who like to plan ahead for gift-giving and so on, I've created three versions of 5771 calendars: with Jewish or Gregorian holidays/dates as well as a version with both. Each month is on a single page. All Jewish holidays are listed. You can download as many calendars as you'd like, in either PDF or editable .DOC form, for free here:

Besides the Jewish calendars, FreePrintable.net has sites with calendars for 2010 and 2011, with full-page as well as year-on-one-page designs. And RocketCalendar.com has free calendars for every year from 1900 to 2099. Here they are:

Enjoy your summer! If it's too hot, try to stay cool. Of course, free printables are always cool. There are more new printables on the way, including new sites. Please keep sending me your suggestions. Happy printing!

Recently, I got an email from Judy, who asked if it was OK to make a few copies of coloring pages for an activity at a church's "Kids Night Out" program. She wrote, "I have downloaded two of your free coloring pages to add to our letters to the military. These are photocopied and distributed to the children to color and write and then to be mailed to the soldiers." Uses like this are completely fine, but it's great to see that people are respecting my copyright. Thanks!
