March 16, 2010
Hi from Kevin at FreePrintable.net, where a busy printer is a happy printer.

Whew! My conference in Washington, D.C. is over. I spent yesterday visiting the Smithsonian American History Museum--it's my favorite--and will be on a plane back home today. It's been great, but I sure miss my wife, kids, and rowdy pets. So it seems appropriate that this week's newsletter reveals a brand-new printables site offering wedding planner pages as well as additions to my family trees site. Please keep reading to learn more about www.PrintableWeddingPlanner.com and the fan-shaped ancestor charts I recently added to www.FamilyTreeTemplates.net.

» Printable Wedding Planner
Finally! I've wanted to offer a printable wedding planner for quite some time, but I wanted to make sure it would be attractive, useful, and a great value. The result is the aptly named PrintableWeddingPlanner.com, and I hope you like the site as much as I do. If you or someone you know is getting married, please take a look! There are more than 20 pages in all, with charts, tables, and lists to help plan everything from food to photography. Each page is bordered in pink, with heart accents and full-color wedding-themed images. The pages fit in any three-ring binder or notebook.

There are three options to instantly download and print the wedding planner. You can download each page as a PDF for free--just print them out and write on them in pen or pencil. Or, if you'd like to type directly into the forms using Microsoft Word and even customize them to suit your event, you can download them in .DOC form for $5 each. However, the best value would be to download the entire collection of wedding planner pages, plus the pretty cover page, for $14. It downloads in one click, so it's the most convenient way to get the entire planner.

» Family Tree Fan Charts
Thousands of genealogy buffs, teachers, and casual researchers have downloaded and printed the family trees, ancestor charts, and other printables from www.FamilyTreeTemplates.net since I launched the site in 2008. I've just added fan-shaped charts. The arch of this style of chart makes it especially easy to visualize each family member's relationship to one another. There are four versions of the chart, with variations for four, five, and six generations. Some have lines while others have curved "boxes." The new fan charts are available only in PDF format and are free to instantly download and print. There are now 50 family tree templates at the site! Here's a direct link to the fan-shaped charts:

As soon as I get back in my office, I'll be putting some of my latest ideas for printables sites and additions in action. As always, I welcome your ideas and thank you for visiting the FreePrintable.net sites. Happy printing!

  » Kudos
I love it when site visitors come up with ideas for the free printables that I'd never even thought of. That's the case with Pamela, who found a fun use for the graph paper at PrintablePaper.net. She wrote: "I just want to say thank you for this site because I downloaded the graph paper so my husband wouldn't have to do this by pencil and a ruler for the neighborhood race pool." Have fun, and good luck!
