» New Printable Certificates
|
I've had a lot of requests for even more flexible certificate designs at FreePrintableCertificates.net, with a decorative border but no specific title or text referencing the type of award. With these new blank certificates, you get to fill in all the details. There are very basic designs, pretty floral borders, and colorful borders: just nice frames, ready to go! Also, I've had such a great response to my scouting award and participation certificates that I've added more, for both boy and girl scouts as well as parent volunteers. Now troops can have the certificates they need in hand, immediately. There are also new gift certificates tailored to specific retail needs such as chocolate, wine, and jewelry. Plus, check out the new Halloween certificates! There are designs for costume contests and pumpkin carving contests. There are other new designs, too, such as a guardian angel certificate, a marriage certificate with a design for destination weddings, and more. You can see all the new certificates here: www.FreePrintableCertificates.net/category/new
All of the certificates are free to instantly download and print in PDF form. Or, if you want to customize a certificate by typing the details into the computer rather than writing on the printed certificate, choose the $5 premium .DOC (Microsoft Word) version. |

The banners at PrintableBanners.net are so handy when you need to decorate for a family party or business event. With these pre-designed banners, you don't have to spend time formatting typefaces and making sure everything is sized to print out correctly. These banners print with one letter per standard 8 1/2-by-11-inch sheet of paper. Just print them out and hang them up! The new additions include seasonal and celebratory banners such as "Happy Halloween" and "It's a Girl." Whether you're having a car wash or honoring a retirement, I hope you find the banners you need here. If not, please consider the custom Banner Maker to generate as many banners as you want for 24 hours. It's here: www.PrintableBanners.net/custom.php. And here are the new banners:

| » Kudos |
| I love it when you write in with praise or suggestions for the FreePrintable.net sites. When specific sites are mentioned, it helps me gauge what's especially popular and appreciated so I can know what to add to or create next. But that doesn't mean I don't enjoy more-general praise! In recent weeks I heard from Shannon P., who wrote, simply, "Thank you for the nice printable items and the easy-to-use site!" And I also got this note from Charlotte G.: "Keep up the wonderful work. FreePrintable.net has solved a lot of problems for me." Thanks to you all! |

| » What type of paper should you use? |
|
Several of you have asked if I recommend any particular type of paper when it comes to printing out the various printables available via the FreePrintable.net sites. Well, it really depends on what type of printable it is and the setting in which you're using it. I do try to use recycled paper whenever possible, and recycled is definitely my go-to paper for any printables that will be used "casually," such as coloring pages or grocery lists. (In fact, I just use the back of already-used paper.) If you're using note paper from PrintablePaper.net for a class or professional forms from the medical forms, business forms, or invoice templates sites, you might want to invest in paper that is a brighter white and of heavier, high-quality stock. If you're printing resumes or cover letters, you'll want to go with commercial stationery or resume paper. (That paper is also great for certificates, but keep in mind that some designs stand out best on white backgrounds.) In cases when you need your printables to be more durable, such as with business cards, place cards, gift tags, recipe cards, signs, certificates, play money, bookmarks, or even greeting cards, you'll probably want to opt for cardstock. Cardstock holds ink well and stands up to folding and long-term use. Most printers will accept not only standard office paper but cardstock, glossy or matte photo paper, and even vellum and transparencies, so feel free to experiment!
