| » Printable Labels |
Sometimes, when I mail off a letter, card or even a bill it has crossed my mind: "Why are we using mail-order labels, or freebies someone sent us with our last name spelled all funky? I have sites with free printables!" Well, the truth is, printable labels have been on my to-do list for quite some time now. But I wanted to be sure that when I did launch a labels site, it would be with a large selection, high-quality, full-color images and sized to fit commonly used label stock. The site is launching with nearly 100 label designs including: animals, babies and kids, holidays, party, nature, religious and special event labels such as graduation and wedding themes. From puppies to pumpkins, this site has it all. I'm so pleased with PrintableLabels.net, and I hope you will be, too! See for yourself:

Just choose your favorites, download, type your own information over the placeholder text and print! All of the labels are free. The return address labels come 80 to a sheet, while the mailing labels (which are larger, and also known as shipping labels) have 30 on each sheet. PrintableLabels.net lists the Avery brand label stock that the labels are sized to match, so you can print directly onto label sheets you load into your home or office printer. (Or, just use regular paper, cut them apart and stick or tape securely to your letter or package.) Another convenient, time-saving option is to pay $9 to download the entire collection of nearly 100 labels all at once. Then, save the files to your home or office computer to customize and use again and again.

| » Family Trees |
FamilyTreeTemplates.net is among my most popular Web sites, including among my own friends and family members. My wife, a genealogy buff, uses the site frequently. I've gotten great suggestions for new additions, and so I have expanded the site several times since its September 2008 launch. Most recently, I added 10 new family trees in response to user requests. Several of you have written in asking for trees with larger boxes, or room to type or write in the names of more siblings. There are new three-, four- and five-generation family trees that meet these criteria, as well as a new version of family tree with room for many members of a person's adoptive family as well as birth family. The family trees, blank ancestor charts and genealogy tools come in two versions: free PDFs that you can download, print and write upon in pen or pencil, and $4 .DOC versions that you can download and customize in Microsoft Word by typing into pre-formatted text fields on your computer. Now there are more than 40 trees and charts to choose from!

| I love getting feedback and compliments from FreePrintable.net users, and recently I got this kind note from Shileen, of Texas, who is a big fan of PrintableWorldMap.net: "I feel it is so important to supplement my children's education. I have looked for maps and other practice material to supplement what they get from school and I just love the layout and availability of maps you have put at my fingertips. I thank you now and my kids will later." Thanks so much, Shileen! | |
