FreePrintable.net news

April 28, 2009
Hi from Kevin at FreePrintable.net, where a busy printer is a happy printer.

This week I'm traveling for business, and for me, business includes working on new free printables for you. I'll be launching new sites and adding printables to existing sites in the coming weeks, so you might want to stock up on paper and ink! But for now I'd like to share with you a few tips for using the planner refill sheets from PrintablePlanners.net, as well as welcome May with a list of links to some of my family's favorite flower-themed printables.

» Full-page Planners
When I launched PrintablePlanners.net in March, the site began with seven sizes of day planner refills, sized to fit common commercial planning systems such as Day-Timer, Day Runner and Franklin Covey.

I was hoping the printable planner refills would be a hit - after all, what could be more convenient than instantly printing planner pages sized to your datebook? (I know I can't spare the time to run to the stationery store to buy refills. Plus, all the planner pages at PrintablePlanner.net are free.) But when I saw which planner pages people were downloading most, I was a little surprised.

The 8.5x11" planner sheets are more popular than I ever anticipated! While many people use smaller, binder-style datebooks, it's clear that the full, "Executive" size is also quite popular. Based on your feedback, I gather that many users are simply printing out these letter-size pages to use as-is rather than securing them in metal rings. As with all of the planner sizes I offer, there are daily, weekly and monthly calendars, to-do lists, contact lists, note paper, graph paper and more. Just print out some pages and you're set!

I think that's incredibly handy. Since the sheets are kept loose, they can be filed away at the home and office as needed, and you're not tied down to a bulky planner if you don't want to be. So, kudos to FreePrintable.net users for making FreePrintable.net products fit your busy lifestyle! In fact, I "borrowed" the idea for my business trip, and am now toting just a few planner sheets rather than a hefty datebook.

Of course, there are still the desktop (5.5"x8.5"), personal (3.75"x6.75"), pocket (3.5"x6") planner and other sized planners - more than 200 planner pages from which to choose. Just visit PrintablePlanners.net to see and download them all. Each page is free to download and print individually, or you can conveniently download an entire collection for one planner size for $9.

» Flower Printables
You know the old saying: "April showers bring May flowers." I live in a region where it rains fairly often, so the contrast is especially welcome. While you're waiting for the flowers to bloom, consider downloading some of these flower-themed printables. (The ones linked to below are just a few of the flowered printables we have to choose from.) All have versions that are free to download and print, while some also offer paid, premium options you can customize in Microsoft Word.

Holiday printables are always popular, as evidenced in this kind note I got from FreePrintable.net user A.T.: "Your Easter Printables are just wonderful. I found them very useful, and I will continue to use your site for future holidays and more. Thank you!"
