Ever since its launch in 2008, I’ve been adding to InstantResumeTemplates.com, including as industry trends and formatting best practices shift (and, often, go back to the basics.) There are now
542 templates from which to choose, and as always, each is free to download, customize, and print.
The newest sample resumes are available in both letter and A4 sizes, and download as DOC files so you can type over the placeholder text using Microsoft Word.
There are 18 new resume templates in all, including resumes with color accents, checkboxes for key skills, space for bootcamps and certificate programs, and a high word count. Some of the more modern twists include a version with no street address and a couple with social media icons. There’s also a new template to help you prepare
content to paste into a LinkedIn profile. Along with basic and chronological resumes, the site has job-specific professional resumes, including a new one focused on customer service.
The newest
internship and academic resumes include one with space to describe a sabbatical. InstantResumeTemplates.com even has a few resumes for teens, and I just added versions for grade school and middle school students as well as a “summer job” resume, a “young activist” resume, and a work study resume.
Be sure to check out sister site LettersOfRecommendation.net for sample recommendation
letters. There’s also the convenient Job Hunter’s Pack that has 25 commonly needed forms for just $17 with the 10% FreePrintable.net newsletter subscriber discount.
