The Prized Edition

Thanks so much to those of you who sent tips and good kitty thoughts for our newest feline family member who was having a little trouble with the transition from the cat shelter to our home. Caroline the calico is now purring and enjoying lots of petting. Instead of hiding under the bed, she’s my nap buddy. Good kitty!

I’m a big fan of recognizing accomplishments, animal and human. With that in mind, there are new award certificates at FreePrintableCertificates.net, which has more than 2,000 from which to choose.

RocketCalendar.com now has lunar calendars for 2023, rounding out the selection of various calendar styles at the site.

Certificates

FreePrintableCertificates.net has 13 new, distinct certificate designs, each available in both a colorful and black-and-white colorable version.

This batch features illustrations of cute kids and happy families. There are achievement awards for good dental hygiene, healthful eating, pandemic safety, and receiving vaccinations of any kind.

Other new awards recognize empathy and other qualities. There are certificates showing one child helping another, titled “compassion” and “caring.” Another prize is for being a “playground leader.”

There are also new “Happy Mothers' Day” and “Happy Fathers' Day” certificates as well as two reading “World’s Best Moms” and “World’s Best Dads.”

The color-it-yourself certificates are a fun activity for kids, emphasizing the positive message on the award.

Besides awards for kids, FreePrintableCertificates.net has formal certificates for business settings. Plus, find sports certificates, scouting certificates, marriage certificates, certificates of authenticity and ownership, monogram certificates, volunteer recognition, and commemorate birth certificates and diplomas. There are even some blank gift certificates.

There are now 2,038 certificates at FreePrintableCertificates.net. Each downloads instantly and is free as a PDF to write on by hand. Or, you can pay $5 each for a DOC version that you can type into using Microsoft Word before printing.

Calendars

If you’ve been a FreePrintable.net fan for a while, you know that I am dedicated to providing a wide variety of calendars. Along with standalone yearly calendar sites, I also offer specialty calendars and planning-related printables.

The newest additions are to RocketCalendar.com. I’ve updated the lunar calendars for 2023. These show the moon phases as each month progresses. There are also Hijri (Islamic) calendars and ISO week/date calendars at the site. Everything is free, and you can even print a free calendar for any month from the years 1800 through 2099.

There are dozens of 2022 calendar variations at Printable2022calendars.com. For those of you who like to get a jump start on a new year, the 2023 calendars site Printable2023calendars.com is up and running with a selection of designs including large print, weekly, academic, vertical, cute scallops, bookmark, and more.

As I mentioned last week, I’ve added Hebrew year 5783 to PrintableJewishCalendar.com, along with versions with Gregorian equivalents. The site also has a free custom calendar generator.

Popular Printables

With summer ending and school starting, I decided to see what’s new among the 20 most-downloaded printables across all my FreePrintable.net sites. This helps me decide what to add next.

The top spot usually goes to lined paper from PrintablePaper.net. But this week, the flag of India is the most-downloaded item.

Of the school-related printables, a ruler from PrintableRulers.net and grade book paper from TeachersPrintables.net are most popular. A world map is hot, too.

A blank check register, two fax cover sheets, a decorative border, and lots of calendars are in the Top 20. For the first time I’ve noticed, the master grocery list has slipped from the most-downloaded.

The popular medical forms include: a pre-employment physical form, a medication record, and a blood pressure tracking chart.

Rounding out the most-popular are a couple of to-do lists.
